YAL Academy

Staying safe and your rights

Taught last, tagged foundation, and surfaced prominently rather than buried. Licence verification, what regulation does not cover, the standard fraud patterns, record keeping, complaints, tax, and an honest statement about what finishing a curriculum does and does not mean.

Trading involves risk. You could lose more than your deposit.

The lessons

What this module covers

Opens with verification, because a reader who can check a licence can protect themselves from most of what follows. Then the boundary of what a licence covers, then the fraud patterns in the order a new trader typically meets them, from cold pitch to signal seller to robot to managed account. Then the reader's own administrative position, statements, complaints and tax. Closes the whole academy on the honest statement that completing it is not readiness.
